Drawing Rules
Learn how our prize drawings work: eligibility; entry limits; claiming prizes; and what counts as a winning registration.
LAIDUG prize drawings are a fun way to thank our community for attending and supporting our events. To keep things fair, please follow these simple rules:
Register to Win
- You must register for the event on Eventbrite.
- Free registrants receive 1 entry.
- Donors (minimum $5) receive 2 entries.
- Limit: One prize per person per meeting.
- Additional donations in the same month do not increase your raffle entries.
Be on Time
- You must be signed in to Zoom by 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time.
- Late arrivals are not eligible to win.
Be Ready
- Review the prize list before the event (linked in chat or the meeting page).
- If your name is called, you’ll have 5 seconds to respond and claim a prize.
Claim Your Prize Promptly
- Unmute or post in the Zoom chat within 5 seconds when your name is announced.
- Let us know if you want a prize and which one.
- No response = no prize.
Know Your Prize Type
- Worldwide prizes are digital and available globally.
- U.S.-only prizes are physical items, shipped free within the U.S.
- International winners may claim U.S.-only prizes if they agree to pay shipping.
Use Your Registered Name
- You may use a nickname on Zoom, but to win, you must provide the same name you used to register.
No Repeat Wins (Per Prize)
- You may not win the same prize more than once (except Adobe digital prizes, which may be awarded multiple times).
One Prize Per Meeting
- Each attendee may win only one prize per meeting, regardless of how many entries they have.
Note: These rules are also shared in the Zoom chat during each meeting. Please review them in advance to be eligible.
